About SwimGear Reviews

SwimGear Reviews exists because buying waterproof audio gear is genuinely confusing. Marketing claims are vague, Amazon reviews are all over the place, and most comparison articles are written by people who've never been in a pool.

We're a small team of competitive and recreational swimmers who got tired of guessing. We buy gear, test it across weeks of actual pool sessions, and write up what we find — including the parts that disappointed us.

We don't accept payment from manufacturers to review their products. When we recommend something, it's because we'd recommend it to a friend.

How We Test

Every product we review goes through at least three weeks of regular pool use before we write anything. We test in 25-metre lap pools, open water, and occasionally in the ocean. We look at sound quality above and below water separately, fit with different goggle and cap combinations, battery life under real conditions, and how the device holds up to chlorine over time.

Where we compare products directly, both devices are tested by the same person in the same pool under the same conditions. We think that's the only fair way to do it.
